2009 Dates for Day Camp are July 20th-24th Western Rural Day Camp is open to Girl Scouts entering 2nd-7th grade and serves the following Service Units; Buffalo/Maple Lake, Annandale, Rockford, Delano/Loretto, Watertown/Mayer, Crow River, Howard Lake/Waverly/Montrose. Day Camp held at the Sarah Creek group site of the Lake Rebecca Park reserve near Rockford.
Campers are bussed in from stops all over our area for a full five days of outdoor fun.
Information flyers are mailed in Mid March. If you have not recieved one please contact the camp director found on the first page of this site. You don't need to wait for the flyer, you can register your daughter at anytime by downloading the forms below. Registrations require the registration Form, Health Form, and a check for the full camp fee. If you have cookie credits they must be turned in with the registration form or as soon as you get them. COOKIE CREDITS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT CAMP FOR REGISTRATION PAYMENTS.

The 2008 Day Camp was a camp filled with unexpected excitement. The Thursday before camp I was informed by the park's maintainence supervisor that our new solar powered pump was not working and that we would need to bring water in. During the donversation I also learned that the parking lot at the park itself was being replaced so we could not take campers to the beach that week. Fortunately we have an incredible staff at this camp and they went into action. Water was supplied to the units and the girls each had a personal bottle to keep filled. Paper plates, etc replaced mess kits so water wasn't wasted on dishwashing. The Games Coordinator planned three full days of fun for the campers who did not get to go to the beach. Thank you Ashley!!! I have been assured that next year we will have a working pump and access to the beach. Also next year will be our 15th year at Western Rural Day Camp. There will be a celebration all week long. Don't let your daughter miss out on the fun.
